Could be a lot of things, but seasonality is unlikely to be on of them.

The ideal is that the page views went somewhere else and the shift was warranted by us getting better at matching readers to articles they want to read and will be satisfied with reading. We are not perfect but we have gotten much better in the last couple of months.
