Couple things.
The self dealing bit about the acquisitions reads as an accusation. It doesn't bother me personally since I wasn't involved, but I do think it's rude to the people involved since it's wrong. None of the money that went to those acquisitions came from their investors. You should take that out.
Your conclusion is wrong. I think you'd come to that realization yourself if you looked at my resume (zero reason to hire me if the pressures were as you say) or looked into who is on the board (no VCs) or what VC funds do when companies get really old (the pressure fades eventually).
In any case, the actual situation here is that I have a free hand to build for a long future as long as I don't need more money. Essentially, I was given a chance to do a double turnaround. The first was financial and is basically done. By doing that, I have a the green light to try to make something special here (the second turn around).
