Hi Linda, I hope you keep the faith and keep writing what you enjoy.

I hear that people are worried about change, but a lot of that worry doesn't seem well founded to me.

We are making Medium a better place for better writing. And now I have people worried that they aren't qualified as better when they so clearly are (like you).

There is bad writing here and that's good. Bad writing is where everyone starts. It's where I started (and some may think, continue with).

But what's bad about bad writing is when we make it the writing that we promote to subscribers and pay for. We have a lot of room to improve there.
