I agree.

My statement could have been more clear. It's directed at people who are following people/pubs that don't have "enough" of what they want to read, where enough is an amount that's up to them to determine.

When I dug into why the following feed wasn't working for some people it commonly came out that they were:

A) following just to get follow backs

B) following high volume publications where there was barely anything they wanted to read.

Those people should edit who they follow.

Noted that you liked the entity bar and that it allowed you to follow in two modes, closely and casually.

Last, you don't have to accuse me of being dishonest to get my attention. Not sure if you really meant it or were just feeling frustrated.

But people copy each other's tone and so I've been letting people know that I read everything that's directed at me and factor it in to our plans. It's plenty sufficient to just say how a change effects you personally. That's actually the part that is most useful and easiest to factor in.

I'm sure at some high volume personal attacks would be counter productive in terms of making it too toxic to be engaged with the community. But even at low volume they make it harder to give personal responses because they make meaningful responses much more complicated to write.
