I always see it through a different lens. We have values, not biases. Then the political parties bias themselves for or against those values. We have nothing to do with that and it's not even our job to do care. Especially as an American, I grew up being taught that we live in a representative democracy where politicians represent our views. So this current era where private companies are now being asked to contort themselves to represent the views of politicians feels very un-american to me. We set a standard by the systems we build for what is most effective at deepening people's understanding (our chosen mission) and now the door is open to any political affiliation to try to meet that bar. I wouldn't call that doing anything at the expense of anyone.
