I have seen their internal traffic and asked them to clarify what they mean. It doesn't read in a way that is accurate to their actual stats.

That said, I have pointed out in other places that high volume publications like theirs are getting unfolled by readers who are realizing for the first time how few articles they actually want to read.

Then generally, if an author doesn't have much traffic to start with then a 50% drop in views is normal. We aren't guaranteeing views to people and a lot depends on what you write.
