I moved to entirely list based which also is reverse chronological. I follow too many people to categorize them all at once so I monitor my main feed and as soon as someone tweets I put them in a list and unfollow them. That way I know anyone tweeting in the main feed is uncategorized.

Is HackerNews an algorithm? Upvotes have entropy. That doesn’t bother me.

Search. That’s a good point. I’m not loving it actually. But I doubt I could live without it. It’s not so much that search trains me to be inhuman it’s that it trains the writers. What would a world look like where you just did straight text searches of sites you trusted.
