I wonder if you are referencing my comment about rate limiting in particular. On the day I left that comment, that was all that we knew. In order to make an official announcement about fraud we had to do a lot of work to investigate it. That is the explanation for why it took time.
We like to comment to the community as a way to learn. It helps us gut check whether we are understanding things or missing things. I think that is a major positive for everyone and something we would like to continue.
It does then produce this side effect of having a constant rumor mill. I would put this back on the community though as a choice. Either A) pay attention to the rumor mill, including our comments, knowing that you may get early access to information but also that the rumors are often wrong or incomplete and that you will have to put in extra work or B) save yourself time and only listen to official announcements that come through the help center, our blog, or email, knowing that you may get information a bit later.
