Is it that simple? I don't think it is. Your works are currently reserved to you and yet they have also been used to train these large language models behind products like OpenAI. This already happened and this would have been true whether you published on Medium or on your own self-hosted blog.

So, given that and that Medium is currently your provider of publishing services, is there a service you would like us to provide for things that you publish in the future and which the AI companies will want as they continue to improve their service.

My question begs another question: what services could we provide? I'm not entirely sure yet. But it would be interesting to hear from authors whether they want us to actively protect their content. Otherwise, we're just hosting your article for all to read and the AI bots that come by look just like any other reader.
