Neither. Fwiw, I don’t think your analysis about Medium being star driven is correct. For the most part it’s reversed. We drive stars. We have always been very good at bringing distribution to people who don’t have it. And even if they did have it, we were giving very large boosts. The thing that changed, which I’ve written about extensively on our blog, is that we changed the focus of our recommendations from rewarding pure engagement to rewarding substance. That is very much in line with what our subscribers were asking for.
