I do see that the product doesn't fully support erotica for reasons you mention and other people have mentioned. Engaging in erotica ends up being public and that makes readers shy.

Also recommending erotica on top of other author's stories ends up making some of those authors uncomfortable. I think we might have done this with a Joe Biden article at one point. I don't have details but I've heard that story referenced both by employees and by other people in the community.

There are a million things for us to do and we can't do all of it at once. So I don't think investing in erotica features is high on the current list of priorities. But if the community here is finding Medium effective enough then I'd encourage you to keep going, to find and support each other.
