Predicting the future… not really something that two people can come to a definitive conclusion on.
I do find just with my own experience that I produce content differently at the front of the funnel than at the end. I edit Better Humans and now also the personal development articles for Medium. For Better Humans, there’s always a thought that we need to slap a call to action somewhere. With the Members content — there’s not just zero impulse to sell, but also plenty of resources to go deeper and put more work into quality.
Maybe as a parallel, I do enjoy content on YouTube, but I also love content on Netflix.
In the past, I paid for content because I had no choice. Now that I have a choice, places are popping up where I’m paying for quality of experience. That seems great.
