I do wonder if there’s a really solid answer somewhere in Cal Newport’s book, Deep Work. But I think I know the basics, which is that your deep work is the hardest work to achieve. So schedule that first. That means finding when your focus is best, when you have the fewest distractions, when you have the largest block of contiguous time. Then your first batch is easy to schedule: first available time.
