Two thoughts — and I’m sure I don’t know enough about you to know if these are right.

  1. You are in a strong negotiating position. You might not feel like you could ask for a raise, but I’m pretty sure you could work fewer hours, possibly work from home a day, or otherwise pressure for better working conditions. If things are slow, you might even use your time there for personal projects ranging from exercise to writing to knitting. The reason I think you have negotiating power is because the business is oriented right now to not hire anyone else, right? So, what are they going to do, replace you? Probably not.
  2. Don’t forget self-care. You’ve had a stressful run — you deserve time off. Or a massage or a nice dinner or just a lazy weekend.
